In my case said belongings are; keys, mobile phone, wallet, glasses or indeed any article that will cause me untold stress were it to go walkabout.

For walkabout insert any term that refers to me not remembering where I left the object. Said term could also comfortably be 'idiot', as I seem to be increasingly disorganised, forgetful or chump-like as the years go by - lost forever, visible only in the rear-view mirror of life.
