Mesmerising fusion of light and sound had audience spellbound

Leeds City Museum was filled with conversation when I visited to see its new sensory experience Enlightenment.

There were boisterous kids burning off after-school energy, old friends having a post-work catch-up and university students taking pictures of as much as possible.

Yet the moment the doors closed and the lights dimmed, the room became hushed with anticipation.

Enlightenment is a new light and sound show at Leeds City Museum which combines vibrant light projections with the melodies of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. For half an hour, audiences are invited to simply sit, watch the lights and listen to the music.
