Leeds A-level results improve - but still in line with average

The average A-level result in Leeds was in line with the average across England last year, new figures show.

The Association of School and College Leaders said the results come as “schools and colleges continue to battle against funding and staff shortages” and after students had their early school experiences disrupted by the pandemic.

New figures from the Department for Education show the average point score for Leeds A-level students in the last academic year was 34.8, higher than the 33.4 the year before.
