It's always nice to see an actor make that big jump from adverts to 'proper' TV, so it's a joy to see everyone's favourite mobile phone salesman Kevin Bacon take that step.

I am, of course, being facetious.
But the American actor has been the face and voice of the EE network for more than a decade here in the UK and it has arguably been his most recognisable work in that period, so it's easy to forget that this is someone who has been so prolific on the big and small screen in the past that he actually had an entire game - six degrees of Kevin Bacon-named after him based around this fact.
The premise of the game is that you can supposedly link him to any other performer in six moves or less.
From an early role in the original Friday the 13th film, to the career-defining Footloose and leading man, or 'above the title' status in the likes of Tremors, Flatliners, Apollo 13, JFK, The Hollow Man and umpteen more, throughout the 1980s and 90s he really was everywhere.
And like many actors of that generation, while he still appears in movies, he has long since thrown any caution to the wind about the supposed stigma of 'film' actors doing TV work.
