Grime-fighting team tasked with keeping city centre clean

From early morning deep cleans to rapid response call outs, Leeds's Street Rangers have quietly become a vital part of the city's daily heartbeat.

Making a clean sweep of Leeds city centre.

Since the service first began in 2016, the rangers have carried out more than 800 deep cleans - the equivalent of cleaning from Leeds to London.

They've also been on hand to respond to 23,000 daily reactive cleans.

And now, thanks to a new investment from Leeds BID, they are set to step up their mission to create a cleaner, greener and more welcoming city centre.
