Fire deaths rise in West Yorkshire new figures show

More people were killed in fires in West Yorkshire in the year to March, new figures show.
It comes as the number of people killed in fires across England rose by eight per cent over the last year.
The Fire Brigades Union warned fire and rescue services "are operating in a state of emergency" and urged the Government to invest in more firefighters.
New figures released by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government show there were 19 fire-related fatalities recorded by the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service in the year to March.
