Ryder Cup is being held next Friday-Sunday on the Black Course of Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York.
The United States have won 27 of the previous 44 meetings, with 17 losses and two ties.
Great Britain won just three of the first 22 Ryder Cups, in 1929, 1933 and 1957.
Spaniard Sergio Garcia has won the most Ryder Cup points. Billy Casper (23.5) is America's record points scorer.
Bernard Langer and Sergia Garcia have made the most Ryder Cup appearances of any Europeans.
