Leeds Knights kept up the pressure on NIHL National's top two when they produced a clinical Boxing Day performance to ease past derby rivals Hull Seahawks 6-1.
It was the perfect response from Leeds at Hull Ice Arena having lost 2-0 at bottom club Solway Sharks last time out.
Import forwards Liam Peyton and Arturs Mickevics led the way with two goals apiece, with Sam Dunn and Finley Bradon starting and finishing the scoring.
Brock Bartholomew replied for the hosts at Hull Ice Arena, but the result was rarely in doubt as the Seahawks produced a somewhat subdued performance.
In what is often a hostile derby atmosphere on the east coast, Leeds found the perfect way to quieten the home crowd when they took the lead through Dunn at 6.01, combining well with Matt Bissonnette to pull Dmitri Zimozdra from his goal to leave the defenceman with a simple tap in.
