Bentham station celebrates milestone anniversary

Volunteers in Yorkshire gathered together to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Bentham station, part of the country's "most scenic rail lines".

Passengers have been travelling to and from Bentham station, on the Bentham Line between Leeds and Morecambe, since it opened in 1850.
The 75-mile railway line is one of the oldest in the country. From 1880 It was used to transport raw materials to local silk mills, as well as livestock, coal and stone.
