Andrea starts a new chapter as a Slimming World consultant

One of the organisation's newest recruits tells her story and shares her plans to help others.

I'm proud and excited to introduce myself as a new Slimming World consultant - a role I never imagined I'd take on, but one that feels incredibly meaningful after the journey I've been on.

Like many others, my story isn't one of instant transformation. It's been filled with ups, downs, and lessons, but most importantly, it's real and it's changed my life.

For a long time, I never gave my weight a second thought. I was naturally slim, active, and didn't worry much about food or fitness.

But life has a way of shifting things when you least expect it.

For me, that moment came after watching my mum battle several smoking-related illnesses before she sadly passed away.

Watching her go through all that was devastating, but it gave me the strength and motivation to quit smoking for good over 10 years ago - one of the best decisions I've ever made for my health.

What I didn't anticipate, though, was the weight gain that followed. Within a matter of months, I'd put on nearly two stones.
