BKU delegation meets DC about irregularities in wheat weighing

A delegation of officials of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) reached the Mini Secretariat and met the District Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner separately to inform them about the irregularities detected in wheat weighing in the grain markets last day.

After meeting the officials, BKU State President Ratanman while talking to the journalists said that the government machinery is proving unsuccessful in advocating the interests of the farmers during the current wheat procurement season in the grain markets. The government machinery is sitting comfortably and watching the spectacle of farmers being looted. It seems that there is no one to take care of the farmers. The farmers included in the delegation gathered in the Mini Secretariat premises and also demonstrated vigorously by raising slogans of Kisan Ekta Zindabad. The farmer leaders said in one voice that every worker of BKU will not let the interests of the farmers be harmed.
