Paton pushes forhat-trickof achievements

Motherwell winger Harry Paton hopes to impress in the final games of the season, earn a new deal at Fir Park and get a solid pre-season behind him to go into the new campaign.

In the meantime, the Canadian international hopes to help Motherwell finish seventh in the Premiership, top of the bottom six.

When asked if Motherwell can finish seventh, Paton said: "Yeah, definitely. I think with the way the manager has come in and kind of getting the points that he's wanting us to do, you can see there's improvements there. I definitely think so.

"Looking forward to next season, being in the best position we can be at the moment would really benefit the team for next year, that would be great.

"Looking back, it was really unfortunate [not to be in the top six]. We put it on the line for the last game, it was kind of in our hands, but we did everything and missed out.
