Funding secured for waterfront boulevard
Western Morning News

WORK will start early next year on Plymouth's long awaited £33.5m waterfront "boulevard" housing development after the scheme was bailed out by the Government.
How the Millbay Boulevard could look
The Homes England quango has provided millions of pounds in grant money to enable Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) and Plymouth City Council to start work on building 80 homes for social rent at Millbay.
Earlier this year PlymouthLive revealed talks were underway to find the cash needed for the project, which had to start before the end of 2026. Planning permission had been granted in late 2023 for the "eco-friendly" neighbourhood, sandwiched between Martin Street and Bath Street, which includes" affordable" homes, communal gardens, play areas, a convenience store and a cafe.
