YESTERDAY’S horrific terror attack at Bondi Beach is yet another grim reminder that we are living in highly dangerous times.

Australia’s worst mass shooting in three decades unfolded on what should have a been a joyous celebration of the Jewish festival Hanukkah.

Instead, at least 12 people are dead after what seems to be another targeted antisemitic attack.

Figures suggest that, since Hamas’ October 2023 massacre in Israel and the subsequent brutal reprisals by Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israel Defence Force, antisemitic attacks have risen, in Europe alone, by 400%.

Australia, a country of 28 million people, is home to about 117,000 Jews, according to official figures.
