Teen collapses in school after vaping 'unknown substance'
Western Mail
|October 18, 2025
A police investigation has been launched after the teenager had to be rushed to hospital for treatment.
BOY collapsed after vaping an “unknown substance” at school.
Beth Masters-Mazzone fears her 14-year-old son Zack, who attends Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern could have died following the incident on Anglesey, and she suspects the vape could have contained ketamine or spice.
Police are investigating the circumstances, with officers at the school yesterday as the force urged anybody with information to get in touch.
Ms Masters-Mazzone said: “I can’t even explain how devastating it is to see your child lay lifeless on a hospital bed while so many doctors and nurses were trying all different ways of seeing if he reacted to pain and no reaction from him at all.
“Zack stupidly had a bit of someone’s vape on break in school and suddenly felt really poorly, weak and ended up being completely unresponsive for four whole hours even with doctors, nurses, anaesthetists and consultants trying everything to wake him up, was even unresponsive to pain tests.
