WALES could move up to 11th in the world rugby rankings if results go with them this month.

They held on to 12th spot by the skin of their teeth thanks to Jarrod Evans’ last-gasp penalty that clinched a 24-23 victory over Japan at the Principality Stadium on Saturday.

Steve Tandy’s side will now be among the second seeds when the 2027 Rugby World Cup draw is made in Sydney on December 3.
