|July 22, 2025
A MAN and woman have appeared on trial accused of engaging in penetrative and non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged under 16.
Guy Simmonds, 37, and Lauren Jarvis, 26, both pleaded not guilty and are standing trial at Cardiff Crown Court.
On the opening day of the trial, after a jury of 12 people were sworn in, James Hartson, prosecuting, outlined the six charges brought against Simmonds, a horse riding instructor, relating to penetrative and non-penetrative sexual activity, and one charge of non-penetrative sexual activity brought against Jarvis.
Mr Hartson told the jury that Simmonds got to know the young girl and later introduced her to Jarvis with whom they had a threesome.
He told the court the pair were well aware of the victim's age but “did not care when they were engaging in a so-called threesome”.
