Investigation after Sunday meal at pub gives 43 food poisoning

MORE than 40 people have been struck down with food poisoning after dining at a pub in the quaint Welsh village of Llangynwyd.

The Corner House Inn announced its temporary closure for thorough cleaning on Monday, after reports of patrons falling ill shortly after their Sunday lunch there.
Public Health Wales (PHW) has since confirmed that 43 people have fallen ill. An investigation revealed it was a foodborne bacteria known as clostridium perfringens.
The health body reported that several customers experienced symptoms of sickness and diarrhoea after their pub meal.
