TV presenter Gethin Jones at the New Theatre, Cardiff, promoting Sleeping Beauty

BBC Morning Live presenter Jones lost his father earlier this year.

At the time, he shared the sad news on Instagram, saying his father had “the most perfect, peaceful end. Welsh hymns playing, and the grandsons on speaker phone saying goodbye”.

After a tough year dealing with his loss, Jones is back on our screens and will soon be returning to the stage as Prince Gethin in this year’s Christmas pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, at Cardiff's New Theatre.

Jones said he was relieved to be spending more time at home in Wales thanks to the role.
