A MAN subjected a woman to a sexual assault at a bus station.

- LEELA AVON AND LUCY JOHN

The woman was reading a book on her own at Talbot Green bus station when drunk Terry Columb licked her, grabbed her and threatened to rape her.

A sentencing at Cardiff Crown Court has heard how Columb approached the victim multiple times, making her feel unsafe and distressed.

Prosecuting, Abigail Jackson, told the court how Columb approached the victim when he got off a bus at the station at around 7pm on May 20, 2024.

She told the court Columb was “visibly drunk and staggering and had a bottle of alcohol with him’, which made the victim feel instantly uncomfortable.

He started by asking the victim if she wanted anything from the shop, before offering her some of his drink.

The victim made attempts to appease Columb, such as ignoring him and asking him to give her space.
