Computer expert jailed for child sex offences
Western Mail
|September 24, 2025
A COMPUTER expert who repeatedly sexually abused a young girl and secretly took intimate photos of her - including a so-called “upskirting” picture - has been handed an extended sentence as a dangerous offender.
Kerry Price
A judge told Kerry Price who ran computer repair shops in Ystradgynlais, Bridgend and Dunvant in Swansea before going to work for Swansea University as an IT technician that the way he had treated his victim had been “utterly depraved”. The judge said the 54-year-old had shown “not a scintilla” of remorse for his actions.
The defendant had previously been convicted of 15 sexual offences following a trial at Swansea Crown Court when he returned to the dock for sentencing.
The trial heard how Price began abusing his victim when she was aged around five or six, with the abuse continuing into her teenage years.
The sexual contact began with Price playing a “coin flip” game with the girl which saw him kissing the child depending on the toss of a coin.
Matters then progressed to Price touching the child’s genitals and breasts both under and over her clothing and underwear on multiple occasions. The offending included Price getting the girl to touch his genitals. All the offences happened in Swansea.
The police were alerted after the complainant told her grandmother about Price’s behaviour. The victim's mother was then told. Price was arrested in August 2023 and denied all the allegations.
When Price’s phone was examined, police found 25 indecent images of children including five Category A images showing the rape of young girls.
