Accounting tech firm's equity boost
Western Mail
|September 10, 2025
ACCOUNTANCY-FOCUSED automation company Bots for That has been boosted with a £1.5m equity investment to support its growth strategy.
The Cardiff-based tech venture has secured investment from the British Business Bank’s £130m Investment Fund for Wales, for which its £50m equity element is managed by Foresight.
Bots for That provides intelligent software alternatives for repetitive manual tasks within accounting and bookkeeping practices by deploying bots to free up professionals to focus on higher-value tasks.
The Investment Fund for Wales was launched in November 2023, by the UK Government-backed British Business Bank to boost the supply of early-stage finance to SMEs across Wales.
Bots for That was set up in 2015 by Daniel Lawrence, who has long been involved in operational efficiency and productivity-enabling technologies.
