Chris pushes on to achieve amazing total for charity

Leonardo employee Chris Tibble pushed through the limits of his fitness, to achieve a personal record of 100 push-ups a day for the past year, to raise £4,570 for Cancer Research UK, after completing a total of 36,500 press-ups.

Chris, who works as a fitter inspector in the Transmissions department for the AW159 helicopter at Leonardo in Yeovil, recently completed the challenge despite bouts of flu and shoulder injuries.

He first approached Cancer Research UK over a year ago, offering to take up a new fitness challenge, extending a previous month-long press-up challenge he participated in back in 2022.

Cancer Research UK is the world's largest independent cancer research organisation that focuses on funding scientists, doctors and nurses to conduct groundbreaking research into the disease, while also providing information to the public about cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
