Why can’t we be dark horses, asks Glovers scorer

LUKE McCormick got Yeovil Town's Billy Rowley era up and running with a double to beat Boston United 2-1 in the new manager's first game in charge at the weekend, writes Paul Jenkins.
Having arrived from Walton & Hersham the previous week, Rowley potentially couldn’t have asked for a friendlier fixture to get his tenure underway, hosting a side that began the day level on points with the Glovers despite having won one fewer game. Although the game was far from easy during a hard-fought goalless first half, McCormick's brace in the second period proved enough despite a late goal from Boston with six minutes to play. As well as getting Rowley’s time at the helm off to a winning start, it also ended an eight-game winless streak in all competitions for the Glovers.
Speaking after the game, McCormick said: “We needed the result. We want to start winning more games in general, but especially at home. ‘That's what we managed to do today. Delighted.
