So far, Steve Evans has signed five players in the first month of 2026, while allowing eight players to leave.‘The Gas will likely be busy working on incomings throughout the week, but aware of the importance of picking up points in the fourth tier, as they sit only one point and place above the relegation zone.

Ahead of tonight's trip to MK Dons, who sit in the final automatic promotion spot, here is a look at the latest team news, with the likes of Promise Omochere, Josh McEachran, Callum Morton, and Macauley Southam-Hales still out.

Speaking after Saturday's defeat against Salford City, Evans was asked whether Omochere and McEachran could make a return to the squad for the upcoming home match against Newport County on January 31.

He said: “Yeah, there's a possibity. It's going to be touch-and-go for Newport. Certainly not for MK. But for Newport, it'll be touch and go.”
