Old bridge to shut for joint replacements

THE old Severn Bridge will be closed overnight next week for essential maintenance work.

The eastbound carriageway will be shut from 8pm until 6am on Monday and Tuesday and the westbound lanes will be closed on Wednesday night and Thursday night. The bridge will be open between 6am and 8pm all week and normal service will resume at 6am on Friday morning.
