Toffees stand tall as O'Brien saves day
EVERTON saved the best until last with a late equaliser from Jake O'Brien coming to David Moyes' rescue against his old West Ham team.
With fans ticking off the Goodison Park games before their move to swanky Bramley-Moore Dock, this low-quality affair won't even rate a mention when their final season at the grand old stadium is reviewed.
It doesn't deserve to either - but at least the new battling heart instilled by Moyes since his return in January meant Everton extended their unbeaten league run to nine games.
Until the 90th minute, though, this had been a day to forget for Everton who were heading for defeat after Tomas Soucek's 67th-minute strike - his seventh league goal of the campaign.
