Showman Harry kicks off huge Wembley residency

Harry Styles kicked off his record-breaking Wembley Stadium residency on Friday night with new song Are You Listening Yet?... and 80,000 adoring fans confirmed they absolutely were.

Two hours and 22 songs later, he had cemented his place as the current king of pop.

The singer, 32, will have the longest residency ever at the venue with a 12-night run of his Together, Together tour that got off to a dazzling start.

There was a thank you to his mum, who entered him into the competition that launched his career; praise for his sister who drove him to that fateful X Factor audition in 2010; a rare acknowledgement of the band that made him and even a tribute to painter David Hockney, who had died the previous day. The artist painted Harry in 2022.
