Jeremy Armstrong on thriving firm taking guests abroad to see Northern Lights
-

A Northern Lights firm is targeting a £10million turnover after sending more than 3,000 guests to Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden to see dramatic solar displays.
Aurora Zone, based in Newcastle, is capitalising on the Sun's solar cycle maximum - happening this year and into 2026 - which has led to dramatic light displays, some even emerging in the North East.
Amy Hope, managing director of The Artisan Travel Company, which runs Aurora Zone, said: "The sights we've seen in the UK have whetted the appetite for people to see stronger displays abroad. Around 80% of our guests are from the UK but the global market is growing for us.
