Milan vows 'unforgettable' Criterium, to face Tour de France green jersey rival Philipsen

- David Lee

Less than two months after winning the Tour de France green jersey for topping the points classification, Italy's Jonathan Milan has signed up for the Nov 1-2 Tour de France EFGH Singapore Criterium.

The 24-year-old said via a short video at a media session at Mandarin Oriental on Sept 12: "I really can't wait to be at the Tour de France EFGH Singapore Criterium for my first time ever. I'm really excited to be there and I really can't wait to see you all there. Let's make it unforgettable!"

Milan's participation sets up a tantalising sprint showdown between the Italian Stallion and Belgium's Jasper "The Master" Philipsen, who claimed the Tour de France green jersey in 2023.
