K-drama leading man Lee Dong-wook is known for being something of an eternal bachelor.
In South Korea,
The 43-year-old, who has never been married, has said on variety shows that he has grown too comfortable being single and is too lazy to meet new people.
But in the new South Korean series The Divorce Insurance, he portrays Noh Ki-jun. The thrice-divorced member of a product development team at an insurance firm sells divorce insurance to protect couples in case their marriage falls apart.
Lee Da-hee, Lee Joo-been and Lee Kwang-soo play Ki-jun's co-workers in the romantic comedy, which premieres on Prime Video on March 31. In a Zoom interview with regional media, the cast shares four things about the show.
1. WHAT'S HIS DAMAGE?
While Lee Dong-wook may be a dream man to many of his fans, his on-screen alter-ego somehow manages to get divorced three times, including once from Jeon Na-rae, the character Lee Da-hee plays.
When asked if Ki-jun has a glaring character deficit that sabotages his relationships, Lee Dong-wook says: "Ki-jun is a really brave character. It takes courage to make the decision to divorce three times.
