Proposed Bill the right measure to protect victims

I refer to the article "Tough love to help scam victims who refuse to help themselves" (Nov 16). The Protection from Scams Bill proposes authorising the police to issue restriction orders to banks, enabling them to restrict the banking transactions of an individual's accounts.
Many victims of love scams are emotionally vulnerable and delusional. They refuse to believe they have been scammed when it's so apparent with the scammers already at work.
