The April 12-13 weekend was a big one for the local indie music scene.
BigO Magazine's 40th anniversary celebration was held over two days at live music bar The Blackbird at lifestyle enclave Gillman Barracks.
Though now defunct, this pure-bred local institution, which ran as a print publication from 1985 to 2002 and online till August 2023, is widely acknowledged as having had a profound influence on the local alternative music scene.
