G-Dragon may not have performed in Singapore in eight years, but the South Korean rapper-singer’s fans clearly have not forgotten him.

He last performed here at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in 2017, as part of his Act III: M.O.T.T.E world tour.

Some were spotted queuing outside the circuit park of the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2025 as early as Oct 1, braving the rain with umbrellas and ponchos, all to snag a good spot to catch his performance.

One of those fans was Malaysian Irene Lau, who told The Straits Times she started queuing since 2am on Oct 1. The 29-year-old was with a group of longtime BigBang fans from Malaysia and Taiwan. The popular K-pop boy band comprise leader G-Dragon, and members Taeyang and Daesung.

Fans were allowed into the circuit park only at 1.45pm on Oct 3. That day, 65,000 people caught the acts at the Padang Stage, where the biggest names performed, notably South Korean rapper-singer CL at 7.45pm and G-Dragon at 10.20pm.

Among the rapper’s fans was Malaysian Michelle Ng, who arrived at 6pm with a friend. The 30something, who paid $148 for a single-day ticket, last saw the star during one of BigBang’s 2015 shows at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
