SAN SEBASTIAN - Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim said that his team were tired, but urged them to be ready for the Europa League last-16, second-leg clash with Real Sociedad at Old Trafford on March 13.
On March 6, the Red Devils drew 1-1 away to their La Liga opponents in the first leg, while fellow English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 1-0 loss at Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar.
Joshua Zirkzee unleashed a sharp low drive from just outside the area after being teed up by Alejandro Garnacho's inviting pass to give United the lead on 57 minutes at the Reale Arena.
It was the Dutch forward's first goal in Europe this season.
However, Amorim's side could not hold on to their advantage as Bruno Fernandes handled at a corner, with Sociedad captain Mikel Oyarzabal confidently converting his 70th-minute spot kick.
