Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday urged tourists to return to Darjeeling, assuring that connectivity and safety measures in the Hills are being swiftly restored following the recent landslides.
After offering prayers at the Mahakal Temple in Darjeeling, Miss Banerjee told reporters: "I have interacted with several tourists here.
After the disaster in the Hills, the tourist flow dropped sharply. We have already ferried nearly 1,500 tourists from Darjeeling in the post-disaster phase.
