Mr Kabir also called for a religious congregation "one lakh voice Quran path" very soon.

He however, clarified that he would not resign from his MLA post “at this moment”, reversing an earlier declaration that he would step down.

MrKabir, whowas suspended from the Trinamul Congress after publicly supporting the reconstruction of the Babri Masjid, claimed that he had already held preliminary talks with AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. He said he had been invited to Hyderabad to finalise the alliance.

“I am a political person. I must build a_ political organisation,” he told The Statesman. “Trinamul has suspended me only because I spoke about rebuilding the Babri Masjid. On 22 December, mynew party will be launched. After that, I will hold the state conference of my party in Murshidabad. I will be the chairman of the party. Out of 294 Assembly seats, I intend to contest 135. For the rest, I will form an alliance with AIMIM. Owaisi has invited me to Hyderabad; I will visit soon.”
