O'Brien slams govt's 'mockery' of Parlover replacing MNREGAbill

Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien has strongly criticized the government's handling of the debate on the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Bill, 2025, which aims to replace the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA).
O'Brien took to handle X, calling the government's approach a "mockery of Parliament" and accusing the Modi-Shah government of disregarding rules to push through the bill. "The debate on the bill is set to begin in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday at 6:40 pm and is expected to continue until at least 2 am on Friday," he said.
