Kolkata Metro to run direct airport-Shahid Khudiram service from 15 December

In welcome news for air travellers arriving at Dum Dum airport during morning and late evening hours, as well as for other commuters, Kolkata Metro Railway will introduce direct services from Jai Hind Bimanbandar station to Shahid Khudiram station via Noapara on an experimental basis from 15 December.
Two direct services will operate between Monday and Friday ~ one during morning peak hours and another in the late evening. Passengers travelling from Jai Hind Bimanbandar to destinations such as Esplanade, Kalighat, Mahanayak Uttam Kumar, or Shahid Khudiram will no longer need to change trains at Noapara.
