Principal, lecturer suspended over suppression of sexual harassment case

Collector J. Sonal has directed the Sub-Collector, who also serves as the President of the Governing Body of Swami Arupananda College of Education and Technology, Raghunathpur, to suspend the college principal and a mathematics lecturer for allegedly suppressing a case of sexual harassment of a minor girl student.
Sources said one Biswamber had earlier submitted a complaint through the Jana Sunani portal of the CM and the DGP, alleging suppression of a sexual harassment case involving a minor girl, a Plus Two Science student of the college. The incident reportedly occurred around 15 January, but was brought to light via the complaint on 18 July.
