Senior England batter Heather Knight has acknowledged the challenge posed by India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana ahead of Sunday's crucial 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup clash, admitting that keeping the left-handed batter quiet will be a tough task for the visitors.
After scores of 8, 23, and 23, Smriti roared back to form with a fluent 80 against Australia in Visakhapatnam, though India lost by three wickets. The hosts will hope both Smriti and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur contribute with the bat when India face England in a marquee clash at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday.
