Dedicated armed police force for Similipal

The state government has decided to create a dedicated armed police company to strengthen protection measures in Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR).
The State Government had already sanctioned 131 posts under different categories after it was approved by the Department of Finance.
Additional Chief Secretary, Satyabrata Sahu had issued a letter to the Accountant General (A&E), Odisha, Bhubaneswar, the Accountant General (Audit), Odisha, Bhubaneswar for creation of a dedicated company of Armed Police Constabulary for STR.
