Professor Narasingha Charan Panda has taken over as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Odisha (CUO) following the resignation of Prof. Chakradhar Tripathi on 30 April.

- STATESMAN NEWS SERVICE

Prof. Tripathi had assumed office as the fourth regular Vice-Chancellor of CUO on 26 September, 2022.

Upon taking charge, Prof. Panda addressed the university community and emphasized the need for collective effort. "This is a challenging time for the university, and only through collective effort can we move forward," he said, urging wholehearted support from faculty, non-teaching staff, students, and stakeholders.

The CUO, established under the Central Universities Act, 2009, was envisioned to enhance access to quality higher education in underdeveloped regions.
