CM Declares Year-Long Celebrations of Ol Chiki Centenary

There will be year-long celebrations of the centenary of the Ol-Chiki script of the Santalis, said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi while announcing several other initiatives worth over Rs 50 crore at the 120th birth anniversary of Pandit Raghunath Murmu in Mahuldiha of Rairangpur here on Monday.
He declared that the residence of Pandit Murmu in Dandbose area will be converted into a pilgrimage site and his Samadhi Peeth will be a historical memorial.
The 100th anniversary of Ol-Chiki script will be celebrated across the state for a year and an international seminar will be organized to promote the Santali language.
