Ashwini Vaishnav stresses techno-legal approach to tackle crimes in new age

Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav said on Tuesday that in times of advanced technology the need is to find technological solutions as the law alone would not be enough to tackle the crimes of the new age.
Delivering the 21st DP Kohli memorial lecture here on the occasion of Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) foundation day in New Delhi, Vaishnav suggested that the Central probe agency should collaborate with the academia and the industry for a techno-legal approach to crimes in wake of the changing scenario due to the emergence of technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the economic, social, and technological domains.
