Family queue for 19 HOURS to get first taste of new restaurant
A STOKE-on-Trent family were the first to try out a new Louisiana-style fast food restaurant - after joining the queue 19 hours before the official opening.
Parents Daniel and Sarah and daughter Sophie took up their positions outside Popeyes on Festival Park at 3.30pm on Thursday.
The trio finally got inside when the doors opened at 11am on Friday for the chance to win free chicken sandwiches for a year.
Speaking before being let in, Sarah said: "We've not tried Popeyes before, but have been wanting to try it for a while after seeing the opening in Manchester.
