Petition calls for new road safety measures 'before a child killed'

FAMILIES are calling for a pedestrian crossing on a busy residential street.

Residents in Meir say one is needed on Brookwood Drive to prevent a tragic accident.

They say motorists park on pavements, do not stop at a junction, and drive on the wrong side of the road.

They claim it is only a matter of time before a child, or parent, is seriously injured or killed.

Now they have launched a petition calling on Stoke-on-Trent City Council to introduce the crossing.
