Pilates teacher gives historic building new lease of life

A NEW pilates studio has given a new lease of life to a historic town centre building.

The Reformer Pilates was set up by Samantha Moss inside the grade II-listed Bank House, on the corner of St Edward Street and High Street in Leek.

Samantha has been teaching pilates for eight years at Caroline Bews Pilates studio, but has kitted out a new studio and is now offering reformer pilates classes.

This type of exercise requires a specialised machine called a 'reformer, which incorporates a sliding carriage, springs, and pulleys for adjustable resistance and support.

The classes teach people to improve their posture and movement. There are 23 each week. Each costs £15.
