Wedgwood in top form to cruise to huge victory

WEDGWOOD seconds turned on the style to comfortably beat their Woore counterparts in NSSCL Division Six.

The destination of the points was never in doubt from the moment Wedgwood piled up 327-4 from their 40 overs.

Four Wedgwood batters made half-centuries as they put the Woore attack under pressure.

S Moore top-scored with 83, which included 11 fours and one six, with T Steele (71), L Kidd (66no) and M Zafar (55no) also impressed with the willow.

In reply, Woore were skittled for just 37 as Wedgwood completed a resounding victory.

G Timmis captured 4-7 and the remaining wickets were shared by I Mazhar (3-5) and D Crawford (3-23).
