'Tall dark figure' spotted in city pub

- Thomas Cooper

PARANORMAL investigators believe they have spotted a 'dark' entity while ghost hunting at a 'haunted' pub.

Darren Shaw claims the spine-chilling encounter happened while scouting out the Duke William in Burslem.

Group leader Darren regularly heads up public investigations with the Newcastle-under-Lyme Paranormal Team. But a private expedition this month was what ultimately led to the spotting of the strange apparition.

Darren, of Wolstanton, above, said: "We've been doing public investigations at the Duke William for a while now. It helps get people up close and personal with the other world and raise money for the pub. But we fancied a change.
